Bhutta Group of Colleges runs under the aegis of Kehrnam Memorial Educational Society
(Regd.), established in 2003 and formed after the name of two renowned philanthropists of the
region, S. Kehar Singh and Sardarni Harnam kaur. The society’s aim is to provide quality
education to youth of the rural areas of Punjab at their doorsteps to keep them away from social
menaces and to make them self sufficient, self-reliant and awakened citizens of India. The
society has 32.7 acres of land in which it harbors four Educational Institutions namely – Bhutta
College of Engineering & Technology, Bhutta College of Education, Bhutta Polytechnic College
and Baba Khajan Das College of Technologies. The campus of Bhutta Group of Colleges is
located at village Bhutta on Ludhiana-Rara Sahib Road, 15 kms from Ludhiana-the industrial
hub of North India and a metropolitan city of Punjab, providing an easy access from various
parts of the state.
Bhutta College of Education, a premier Teacher Training Institution in Punjab was established in
the year 2006 and is committed to provide quality teacher training through world class learning
environment and state-of-the-art infrastructure. The college is recognised by National Council
for Teacher Education, approved by Government of Punjab and is affiliated to Panjab
University, Chandigarh. Faculty at Bhutta College of Education, drawn from leading Teacher
Training Institutes have a sound academic background, rich teaching experience and are fully
capable to train future teachers. The objective of the institution is to nurture teachers who are
equipped with knowledge and relevant skills to deal with challenges of the contemporary
dynamic classrooms, cater to diverse student needs of students and become future leaders to
contribute to national progress.
It is a matter of great pride that the college has come up as one of the leading teacher training
institutions and has been accredited with NAAC with Grade A with a CGPA of 3.50. I hope that
